We begin a new short series looking at the second letter of Peter. In 1 peter we were concerned with how and shy Christians suffer for their faith in Christ. In this second letter, Peter shifts his focus to looking at how Christians develop their character in the light of the return of Jesus Christ, which he anticipates as being imminent. Christian character growth is sometimes not given the attention it demands-coming to Jesus is great and necessary, but no believer is 'born again' as a fully developed follower of Christ.
