David flees from the king hiding in caves, he is chased like a wild animal hiding in the wilderness he pleads with God to preserve him. Here is a picture of a man who is surrounded by foes yet he lifts up his eyes to the one whom he knows can and will rescue him. As usual God sends him help from His sanctuary. we know that David did eventually become king. God calls us the apple of His eye His wish is to not only preserve us like He did David but He will allow us to prosper just like David.
