In the great controversy between good and evil intercessory prayer is a powerful weapon, in Revelation 12:7-9 we are told, And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 2 Corinthians 10:4,5 explains, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
It is therefore through intercessory prayer that we can engage in spiritual warfare and plead with our Almighty God for the salvation of the people who we care about. And we can be confident that we are heard and that He will answer our prayers according to His will; which is always in the best interest of those whose case we present to Him in prayer.
So when open our hearts in prayer to God it is like we open our hearts to our closest friend, we are sharing with Him our joys, sorrows,, struggles, victories, dreams and disappointments. As we engage in this communication with God it does not change the way that He feels about us but we are changed and develop a deeper level of trust and love for Him.
Therefore we invite you to join us on Prayers of Hope as we go up to the next level in our relationship with our loving heavenly Father.
