International rescue teams are available at the drop of a hat, there are coast guards, mountain rescue teams, air ambulances, air search and rescue and so many others who volunteer their time to be available if we get into situations ,where its a matter of life or death.
The central theme of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is one of rescue. Jesus uses three parables to highlight His rescue plan. We can trust God to come looking for us and our families, He was accused of sitting and eating with sinner.

We are surrounded by noise. People are talking all around us, the TV shouts advertisements, our phones chirp with notifications, texts, and calls. The world is shouting at us in every type of way and with every different type of opinions.
These voices give us mixed messages, how do you distinguish who is speaking amongst all these noises. The enemy may try to confuse us but there is light in the darkness God's words shines through if we listen we will hear Him speaking. it no he who shouts the loudest that is correct.

If we are going to reach our final goal that is to be ready when Jesus returns we need to stay focused in spite of the many distractions around us. We have to make sure we are in the right race the race for eternal life. we have to develop perseverance as this is a long distance race, we don't know when it will end. the psalmist says my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever Psalms 73:26 we are not alone on this journey Jesus is with us to help us complete the race so hang in there help is always available he is just a prayer away.

Israel was out numbered they felt overwhelmed by the enemies tactics they knew they couldn't win a one again 2 numbers game. They did the only thing they knew would bring them victory. They all came together and appealed to the only one they knew could bring them victory the God of heaven. They acknowledge Gods sovereignty His power and authority.
It may not be a physical army that stands before you, are you allowing the enemy to overwhelm you terrorise you with negative thoughts? doubts, fear and anxiety. We should not allow the enemy to play mental tricks with our mind. We can expel those thoughts from our minds and replacing them with the scriptures.
