Devotional
'Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name' (Psalm 86:11).

To obey God is to experience joy. Our desire should always be to please God and be faithful to Him. But unless God give us that understanding and bring to life His Words into our hearts, we will not be able to please Him. David wanted badly to do the will of God; and for Him to help him form the right habits. So He cried out to God, "Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear your name."

Like David, do you have a desire to do the will of God and to honour Him?

Do you desire God's help in forming the right habits?

Then it must be your desire to live a Christlike life, to cherish His Word and to live in it daily.
You need to pray earnestly to God, and ask Him to open your eyes of understanding and to teach you His Word that you may comprehend the depth of His love.
Cry out to God, testify of His goodness, immerse yourself in His Word that you may know and experience the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge and understanding.

Let the Word of God take hold of you, that you may experience its transforming power. When it seems like you're forgetting the goodness of God, or Who He really is, cry out and ask Him to unite your heart to fear His name - to refocus your thoughts, to obey and honour Him.

If our hearts are not united, there can be nothing but confusion; indecision; distraction and disharmony in our lives. We have to ask God to give us His light, and with our whole heart walk in it; to prevent us from going into all direction. Let our prayer be, 'Lord unite my heart to fear thy name.'

Have a wonderful day 🌹

How God moves in an electric way

The idea of God moving in an electric way can be interpreted in a few different ways. One interpretation is that God's presence and power can be felt in a sudden and intense way, similar to the jolt of electricity. This idea can be seen in passages from the Bible such as Acts 2:2-4, which describes the coming of the Holy Spirit on the disciples as "a sound like the blowing of a violent wind" and "tongues of fire" descending upon them.

Another interpretation is that God's work in the world is like an electric current, constantly flowing and energizing all living things. Just as electricity powers machines and lights up buildings, God's power brings life and vitality to everything. This idea can be seen in passages such as Colossians 1:17, which states that "in him all things hold together."

Still, another interpretation is that God is like an electric spark that ignites the fire of faith in people's hearts. This idea can be seen in passages like John 1:9 which states "The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world."

Regardless of the interpretation, the image of God moving in an electric way emphasizes the sudden, powerful, and transformative nature of God's presence and work in the world. It reminds us that God is not a distant or passive force, but an active and dynamic presence that can change our lives in an instant.

In conclusion, the idea of God moving in an electric way reminds us of the transformative and powerful nature of God's presence and work in the world. It reminds us that God is not a distant or passive force but an active and dynamic presence that can change our lives in an instant, and that always energize and holds all living things together.

Tips to becoming debt free

Develop a debt repayment plan: Create a budget and prioritize paying off high-interest debt first.

Stop accruing new debt: Stop using credit cards and taking out new loans while you work to pay off existing debt.

Increase income: Consider taking on a side job or finding ways to increase your current income.

Cut expenses: Reduce your monthly spending by cutting back on non-essential expenses, such as eating out or subscriptions.

Use the snowball or avalanche method: The snowball method involves paying off smaller debts first to build momentum, while the avalanche method prioritizes paying off high-interest debt first.

Seek professional help: If you're having trouble getting out of debt, consider seeking help from a financial advisor or credit counselling agency.

Be patient and disciplined: Becoming debt-free takes time and requires discipline, but with a plan and determination, it can be achieved.

It’s Biblical – All Things New

Posted in It's Biblical, Stand Up Stand Out, video

Scripture gives us this hope: “But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:13, NASB).

For some, however, the promise of “a new heaven and a new earth” (Revelation 21:1) seems like a fantasy, stories told by those in power who used the hope of an afterlife to help keep the masses in line. The idea being: Though you have it hard at present, one day you will have your reward in heaven, or the like.

And though some people have used the future hope presented in the Bible that way, their abuse doesn’t change the truth of the promises that we have regarding the new heavens and the new earth.

In the last days, scoffers will ridicule our blessed hope (2 Peter 3:3–7). But their scoffing, just as predicted, could be seen as more evidence that what the Bible says is true, for they are scoffing as the Bible predicted they would.

During this week we will reflect on the glorious promise of a new heaven and a new earth, including the heavenly temple, the presence of God, the end of death and tears—and, finally, the ultimate triumph of God’s love.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11.

We have a wise, loving heavenly Father, who hears the prayers of His children. But He does not always give them what they desire. He withholds that which He sees would not be for their good. But He bestows on them all that they need. He gives them that which is necessary for growth in grace.
When we pray, we should say, “Lord, if what I ask for is for my good, give it to me; but if it is not, withhold it, but give me Thy blessings.”
The Lord hears our petitions; He understands our situation, and He will supply the very thing we need. He will strengthen our faith and increase our spirituality. The Lord is good and merciful, perfect in understanding and infinite in wisdom.

“The Lord is soon to come, and we must be prepared to meet Him in peace. Let us be determined to do all in our power to impart light to those around us. We are not to be sad, but cheerful, and we are to keep the Lord Jesus ever before us . . .

We must be ready and waiting for His appearing. Oh, how glorious it will be to see Him, and be welcomed as His redeemed ones!
Long have we waited, but our faith is not to become weak. If we can but see the King in His beauty, we shall be forever and forever blessed.

All the best for the Season, keep safe, keep love in your heart and share warmth in a practical way with someone today.

Devotional
'I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name' (Isaiah 45:3).

When things go wrong in our lives we asked God the question 'why?' However, God doesn't always tell us why because He wants us to know the who. David goes from talking about God, 'The Lord is my Shepherd,' to talking with Him, 'Thou art with me' in Psalm 23. The question is, what happened in between? Well, David learned that no matter how dark the way is, the Lord is there to guide us. He discovered that it's better to walk through the valley with God than stand on the mountain top alone. What has been your experience with God? God didn't say that you won't have trials, bad experiences, sicknesses, but He promises, 'When thou passes through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee...' (Isaiah 43:2).

When you feel like things are getting out of control and you don't know what to do or you feel you're out of your depth or in over your head, look to Jesus and claim this promise.

We can gain victory over temptation only by God’s transforming grace and, at the level of thoughts and intentions, we should claim that promise to stop sinful thoughts.
We will always have sinful natures until Jesus comes. But if we are in Christ, we are fully covered by His righteousness. Although we are not yet perfect, we are considered already perfect in Him (Phil. 3:12–15).

“When we are united to Christ, we have the mind of Christ. Purity and love shine forth in the character, meekness and truth control the life. The very expression of the countenance is changed. Christ abiding in the soul exerts a transforming power, and the outward aspect bears witness to the peace and joy that reign within.”—Ellen G. White, Selected Messages, book 1, p. 337.
Only by a daily surrender, a daily death to self, a daily determined effort, by faith, to be obedient to Jesus can we have this kind of transformation in our lives.

"Thus, the apostle John adds, “God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11, 12, NRSV)."
"The whole picture becomes clearer in light of Jesus’ statements: “ ‘Everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day’ ” (John 6:40, NIV), and “ ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live’ ” (John 11:25, NRSV)."
"This means that eternal life is a gift of God through Christ, which is secured in the present but fully enjoyed only after the final resurrection of the righteous.
The conclusion is very simple: if everlasting life is granted only to those who are in Christ, then those who are not in Him do not have everlasting life (1 John 5:11, 12).

Mamoudou Gassama: what the ‘Spider-Man’ of Paris did next The Malian who scaled a Paris building to save a child on meeting Macron, immigration and his new life in the spotlight
French President Emmanuel Macron suspended all protocols and official meetings to meet the courageous Gassama at the Elysee Palace in Paris, where he assured that the hero would be made an honourary citizen and all his papers regularized.
During the meeting, Mr Macron said: “You saved a child. Without you, no one knows what would have become of him.”
The father of the child was detained for alleged parental neglect.

There are many things to learn from this young man’s story.
The World Will Judge You By Your Action And Not Your Intention
Khalil Gibran said: “The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention.” The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.
This man who was only 22 years old at the time: said he would have tried his best to save this child, even if it cost him his life.

Who does this story remind you of?
What stands out for you?

It reminds me of Christ Jesus who accepted the call and or request of His Heavenly Father to put His life on the line for you and for me.
We are all guilty of doing, saying and thinking things that are sinful, for which death is the ultimate punishment/ penalty. BUT Christ Jesus accepted the challenge out of love for us and put himself in my place, in your place so that we can have an opportunity to accept his gift of freedom from sin and choose to do His will and inherit our heavenly reward.
It is this GRACE that speak volumes to my heart today and it should leave you speechless to know that even before you knew Him as your Saviour, He died in your place to give you hope, to give you a new beginning to give you a new life of renewal and peace in Him.

The ultimate love !!
John 15:13
King James Version
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
I pray that you will choose Christ Jesus today because He is your ultimate friend.

May the peace of God be with you today as we recommit our lives to Him for His names honour and glory.

There are many different kinds of human emotions that are triggered from daily life experiences.
For instance, when you hear that a loved one has died, it’s only natural to feel sad. And when something good happens, you automatically rejoice. Even Jesus while here on earth experienced feelings just as you do - joy, love, sadness, sympathy, grief, anguish, weariness, indignation, and even anger. It’s hard to ignore the power of emotions.

However, if not kept in check, they can easily deceive you for feelings can be fickle and are not to be trusted to help you make decisions.
People are told to “follow their heart,” but that isn’t always the safest thing to do. Live deeper than emotions.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Measure your emotions by what God says in His Holy Word. If there is a disconnect, then you can be sure that your heart is deceiving you, just as the Bible warns.
Sometimes people get discouraged when they are going through tough times, feeling that God has abandoned them. They may even question their own Christian experience. But praise the Lord, your relationship with Jesus is not based on “feelings.” You’re going to have good and bad days, but God is with you through every heartache as well as every joyous moment in your life. Guard your feelings by giving control of your emotions to Jesus. Don’t give anyone else that power - especially the devil! Remember, no one can make you love them, make you angry, or make you happy. It is your choice who you allow to influence your feelings. Jesus is the only one who is safe to trust with your emotions, so put your trust in Him instead of . . . fickle feelings.

Bible Text: Proverbs 2:1-9 King James Version
2 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
"Every passing day brings us one day closer to the glorious appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds of heaven.

Though we don’t know when He will come, we can be certain that He will, and that is what really matters."
"Despite the long centuries since Jesus ascended, the promise of His coming remains relevant, even today.

Why?

Because all that we have is our own short life (Ps. 90:10), followed by an unconscious rest in the grave (Eccles. 9:5, 10), and then the final resurrection, without any later opportunity to change our destiny (Heb. 9:27).

As far as each one of the dead is concerned (as stated in lesson 3), because all the dead are asleep and unconscious, the second coming of Christ is never more than a moment or two after they die.

For you, in your personal experience (as for all of God’s people of every age), Christ’s return is no more than a moment after your death.
That’s very soon, is it not?"

Keep the faith and keep holding on until then.
