This Psalm of David is probably the best known and loved of all the Psalms. It is famously known as The Shepherd's Psalm. It is a delight of childhood and the consolation of old age. More books and articles have been written on this Psalm and more poems and songs composed on it's theme than any other Psalm.
Psalms 23 has a message for men and women of every generation. This beautiful prayer is comprised of three sections that illustrates the Shepherd's care; in verses 1-3 we see His provision and guidance as the gentle Shepherd leads His sheep to rest and nourishment. In verse 4 we see Him protecting His sheep from the dangers of the wilderness. And, in verses 5 and 6 Eternal hospitality is demonstrated in the Shepherd's role as a gracious host generously providing an abundance of food and tender care for His guests.
The Psalm closes with a profession of absolute confidence in our Heavenly Father to lead His child lovingly through this life and safely into eternity. So please join us on Prayers of Hope and as we learn that whatever changes or challenges that we may experience in this life nothing can break our connection with heaven and the loving care of our Heavenly Father.

This week on Prayers of Hope we will focusing on Nehemiah's Prayer as an example to the people God who have committed themselves to accomplish His will. Nehemiah was not a Priest or a Prophet, he was a humble Reformer who God chose to set His people in the right relationship with Him.
His unyielding integrity was evident, he was so determined to maintain a right course when evil and opposition challenged him that he won the confidence of the people of Jerusalem. They were filled with courage and renewed zeal to complish the task of rebuilding the wall surrounding Jerusalem.
There is a need for characters like Nehemiah today, whose prayers and sermons are strengthen by a firm and eager purpose. The success which accompanied Nehemiah's efforts illustrates what prayer, faith, wisdom and energetic action will accomplish.
So please join us on Prayers of Hope and receive motivation to accomplish the task that God has placed in your hands.

God intended that the sad history of David's fall to serve as a severe warning, that even those who have been greatly blessed and favoured by Him are not safe when they neglect to be on their guard and pray without ceasing. This account in David's history is full of significance to every repenting sinner. It illustrates the most forceful struggle and temptation of humanity, and genuine repentance to God and faith in the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God's children who have been deceived into a life of sin and feel discouraged and ready to give up in despair, can be encouraged when they remember how David was forgiven and accepted by God when he truly repented and confessed his sin.
So please join us on Prayers of Hope as we analyse the amazing love of God that offers hope, acceptance and forgiveness to every humble, penitent sinner.

In this week's Prayers of Hope we will be analysing the Prayer Life of the great Patriarch Moses. He interceded in prayer for Israel after they had committed the grievous sin of worshipping the golden calf which provoked God's anger. But God was only testing Moses' love for the rebellious mob that he was leading. This test Moses passed with flying colours and it was deemed as the 'Noblest Act' that Moses had ever performed. God was pleased with this sacrificial act of Moses' love for the undeserving mob, which proved that he was truly a man after God's own heart.
Moses learnt to talk less and Pray more when he faced any challenge. The more time Moses spent In prayer with God the more he wanted to be with Him. Moses made a request to God that no other human being had ever requested, and that was to see God's Face.
There was a mutual love relationship between God and Moses, so God granted him his petition. However, God the took the measure to protect mortal Moses from His Holy sin consuming power. He advised Moses to hide in the cleft of a nearby rock and then God protectively covered Moses with His Omnipotent Hand. Then God proclaimed His Holy Character of Love; He is merciful, gracious, long-suffering (patient), abundant in goodness, truthful and forgiving. A more complex declaration of God's regard and Love for sinners would be hard to find and many can testify of it's accuracy.
So don't miss this opportunity to share the moment when we will gaze upon the Beauty of God's Holiness on Prayers of Hope and experience it's ability to empower us to shine for Him.

He was a mass murderer, guilty of committing the most hainous crimes against humanity. He filled the streets of Jerusalem with the blood of the faithful Saints of God. He practised and promoted idol worship, witchcraft and offered human sacrifices including the lives of his own children. He erected many altars to idols throughout Jerusalem and Judah, and even placed them in the Sanctuary of the Holy God. His sins, iniquities and transgression were as numerous as the sands upon the seashore.
Who was this incredibly evil man you may be asking yourself, he must have been highly rated among the most depraved and ungodly creatures that ever drew breath, you may be thinking. Well his name was Manasseh king of Judah! Yes, the king of Judah, Judah God's chosen people.
God was watching all that Manasseh had done during his evil reign and decided to cut him down to size. The enemies of Judah were allowed to take king Manasseh into captivity bound in chains with a ring inserted through his nose and lip. King Manasseh had behaved like a brute beast now he was being treated like one. God used the whip of the Assyrians to beat Manasseh into submission and it did just what God an intended.
In his humiliation Manasseh came to his senses, he truly humbled himself and fell at God's feet pleading for mercy and offered the sinner's prayer. His broken spirit and contrite heart God did not despise. But, God was faithful and just to forgive him of all his sins and cleanse him from all his unrighteousness.
So if you think that you or someone that you know has gone too far in sin to turn back to God and receive forgiveness. Then you need to join us on Prayers of Hope as we focus on marvellous grace, mercy and forgiveness of our loving God.

We will be focusing on the three part story of Joseph the Dreamer. The terrible results of polygamy were manifested in the household of Jacob. The jealousy of several mothers had embittered the family relationship, the children of Jacob had grown up contentious and impatient of self control. There was one child however, the eldest son of Rachel whose name was Joseph, he had a widely different character. Joseph had a rare beauty which reflected his inward beauty of mind and heart. Pure, active, and joyous attributes, accompanied his moral earnestness and firmness. He listened to his father's instructions and loved to obey God. The qualities that afterward distinguished him in Egypt, gentleness, fidelity and truthfulness were already manifest.
One day Joseph told his brothers of a dream he had, which made them angry as they recognise that he was saying that he would reign and have dominion over them. To make matters worst Joseph's father had given him a special coat which signified his important status over his brothers. At the earliest opportunity Joseph's brothers physically and verbally abused him, they stripped him of his coat and sold him into slavery, their parting mocking words being, 'what will become of your dream now?'
But the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob was with Joseph, He had been the giver of the dream and He was able to bring it to fulfilment.
So join us on Prayers of Hope and be encouraged as hope is kept burning brightly in midst of a stormy saga in the life and times of faithful Joseph.
